"Man, I miss sharing the bread & cup of the Lord’s Supper with my church family. Between my sabbatical travels early this year and then CoVid thereafter, I think I’ve only had communion in person at my home church once so far in 2020 (10 months). Yikes.
This central practise of worship is an extension of and broader fulfillment of the salvation and emancipation here described in Exodus and through the ceremony of PASSOVER.
Moses wants us to REMEMBER forever what God has done for us. He wants us to tell our children. He wants us to share this memory in ritual & ceremony so we will never forget.
Man I miss communion, the festival of remembrance of my rescue from darkness and transplant to true freedom.
